My education includes an associate degree from DMACC in Liberal Studies, a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies with a minor in psychology from Iowa State University, and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Denver. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a direct care professional in the healthcare industry for 10 years. I worked in case management with Medicaid waivers and long-term service facilities for an additional four years. I have experience as a foster parent, legal guardian for a dependent adult, and independent business owner. I live in rural Iowa with my husband and our 4 children. We have three dogs, three cats, and a leopard gecko. My hobbies include quilting, photography, reading, baking, and canning. In the summer, I love to hang out in my swimming pool and do yard work.
