Allison Borstad, LISW

Moore Life Counseling & Coaching

Allison believes healing isn’t about fixing yourself—it’s about becoming more fully and authentically you.

With over a decade of experience in mental health and community-building, Allison brings a warm, compassionate, and deeply relational approach to therapy. She works with individuals, couples, families, and groups navigating life transitions, relationships, anxiety, trauma, identity, burnout, and the process of creating a life that feels authentically their own.

Her approach is trauma-informed, queer- and neurodiversity-affirming, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when people feel genuinely seen, safe, and understood. She draws from a range of therapeutic and somatic approaches while helping clients connect the dots between their thoughts, emotions, body, and behavior, gently guiding themselves towards the path and purpose they seek.

Allison is also trained in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAT), which she incorporates when appropriate to support clients exploring new perspectives, deeper self-compassion, and meaningful change.

Fun fact: Outside of therapy, Allison is a mom of two boys and a mini-dachshund, a yoga lover, and a lifelong learner who believes some of the best conversations happen when we loosen up and give ourselves permission to dream again.
